ALBERT JOHN BELMONT, AMERICAN, B. 1977Albert John Belmont is a New England-born, contemporary artist based in New Hampshire.
Working since the mid-1990s, his art focuses on the deconstruction and reconstruction of subjects to convey form and feeling through simplicity. He first experimented with abstraction during the summer of 1996 at Evergreen Point in New London, New Hampshire – and further developed the approach while studying art in Boston, exploring abstraction, cubism, expressionism, color, and line. Since 2020, his work has delved into autobiographical explorations of space, experience, and memory. His work is held in private collections, including the corporate collection of JetBlue Airways. |
